Mental health care is important, and so is gender equity.
Women’s Therapy Institute advocates and believes gender equity is vital to the advancement of women and girls since they often face sexual harassment, gender-based violence, repression, and workplace discrimination. We want to support them gain access to equal rights, protections, and opportunities in all walks of life.
Thankfully, this advocacy perfectly aligns with the mission of the National Women’s Law Center to fight sexual harassment and sexual discrimination in the workplace, education, healthcare, and other community settings.
The National Women’s Law Center (NWLC) is a non-profit organization that advances and protects women’s rights through legislation, policy, and public education. Since its inception in 1972, NWLC has worked for gender equity through the law by challenging gender stereotypes and gender discrimination. Today, their efforts are focused on combating gender-based violence, economic security for women and families, educational equity, reproductive rights, and work/family balance.
In this cause, the Women’s Therapy Institute is a proud donor of the National Women’s Law Center. We donate to the organization a portion of our proceeds every time you sign up for therapy sessions.
Aside from getting mental health care from top therapists in the area, you may be a part of something significant – helping women access justice and fair treatment. This is a long-term commitment that we are grateful to be part of and we hope you want to be a part of it with us.
For gender equity, check out their website https://nwlc.org/ or call them at (202) 319-3053.
We look forward to helping you on this journey through life and seeing you help others rebuild their lives, too!
