That’s where the Women’s Therapy Institute can help you right now!
I provide counseling services in the women who are struggling with these symptoms and want to feel better about themselves and their lives.
Think therapy is not for you? Think again!
A lot of women tell me that they believe counseling will not help them. That they’ve felt that way their whole lives. That they don’t deserve to feel any differently. That constant feeling of being on edge keeps them on their game. Yet, once they try it for themselves, they become believers…fast.
I totally get that you are apprehensive about counseling. There’s an unnecessary stigma attached. There are unhealthy misconceptions that asking for help is a sign of weakness, or one must be crazy in order to go to therapy, or that one should be able to deal with their own problems, or friends and family should be enough support.
However, my understanding is the exact opposite! Seeking help is a sign of strength. It is courageous to seek change and to choose not to suffer. While friends and family can be good support, they are not trained in counseling and at times may be hard for them to remain unbiased.
If you’re already on the Women’s Therapy Institute website you know that you can get help you want, and stop worrying about what anyone else thinks…once and for all.
My goal is to make you feel comfortable
Relax and enjoy the process. You can expect me to be empathic, authentic, supportive, insightful, and creative, and trustworthy. I want to become a friend you can turn to for advice and help with positive changes. Sure, there may be a few tears. But there will also be a few laughs and a whole lot of fun.
I will guide you through your personal growth process, using a variety of theories and techniques, depending on your individual needs and concerns.
When dealing with stress, anxiety and depression, you need the one-on-one support and resources of individual counseling to find ways to cope, reduce anxiety, discover more peace, and learn how to speak your own truth.
Stop, think, and take a new look at life.
Individual therapy is a great opportunity to gain tools in your emotional and mental toolbox that help you better cope with life. You “hone” these tools through life experience and observation. If you aren’t born with them…you can learn them.
Sometimes you might face a problem or situation where your knowledge and experience are not sufficient. When you don’t have the right tools (or the tools need to be adapted and perfected) to deal with something effectively or in a healthy way, individual therapy is a great option.
Individual counseling adds tools to your toolbox…and improves the ones we already have by helping you:
- Feel confident about yourself
- Know yourself on a deeper level
- Learn stronger coping skills
- Develop stronger relationships
- Develop effective parenting skills even when you are not perfect
- Let go of negative thinking patterns
- Less overthinking and second guessing
- Cope with stressful events with more strength
- Know yourself on a deeper level
- Live the kind of life you would like to live
