Mabel Yiu is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who founded the Women’s Therapy Institute in Palo Alto, California.
Who is Mabel Yiu?
I’m often described as down-to-earth with a straightforward yet compassionate approach. My goal is to help reframe challenges in a more empowering light.
With over 15 years of experience supporting individuals and couples through positive change, I’ve developed a grounded understanding of what works – and what doesn’t – when it comes to reducing stress and cultivating wellbeing.
In addition to my therapy practice, I teach as adjunct faculty at the University of San Francisco and provide clinical supervision at a community mental health clinic. These diverse experiences allow me to relate to many different struggles, and collaborate with clients to find their optimal path forward.
My passion is creating judgement-free space where, together, we can nurture self-discovery and manifest the life changes you seek. Each small step matters. I would be honored to walk this rewarding path with you, bringing honesty, empathy and proven techniques to help you rewrite your story.
You don’t have to suffer in silence…
I wholeheartedly believe that while life may never be perfect, it can always get better. As a therapist, I see it as my calling to help people rediscover their inherent potential and capacity for joy, even amidst suffering. There is nothing more rewarding than witnessing someone regain control of their narrative and manifest positive change.
Progress takes courage, and the path is rarely straight or easy. But you have already taken the first step by reaching out for support. I consider it an honor to walk alongside you on this profoundly personal journey of growth and self-discovery. My goal is to create a space of compassion, free of judgment, where we can unravel challenges and put your needs first.
Each small step matters. With commitment and patience, the changes you seek are within reach. I blend experience, empathy, proven techniques and a sense of hope to illuminate your path forward. Know that you deserve happiness – and I will be there as your guide.
