Kate Sutton, PhD is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who can help you with all things relating to sex and relationship.
I am here to help you feel comfortable working through the hard stuff. I have been doing therapy for over a decade with individuals dealing with sexual concerns, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, life changes, personal growth, stress-related difficulties, sexual concerns, and chronic pain. I look forward to meeting you to talk about how we might work together to optimize your life satisfaction and help you to find more inner peace and happiness. Currently I am only available to meet online.
Together, we’ll create space to explore your wants and needs, improve communication with others in your life, and promote intimate, meaningful, and healthy relationships. I aim to help you reach your full personal to lead your happiest and most fulfilling life.
I completed my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada, and my clinical residency at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto working in the sexual disorders clinic, the gender identity clinic, and the work, stress, and health clinic.
In addition, I am experienced with exploring topics such as pain during sex, low desire or desire discrepancy in your relationship, hypersexuality, concerns about pornography, LGBTQ+ issues, managing sexual interests that concern you or your partner, infidelity, and more. I am the recipient of multiple academic awards, have published scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals, have authored several textbook chapters, and have given numerous talks at conferences and to the public, on topics related to sexuality. I am passionate about working with those experiencing sexual difficulties because it is an area that matters so much to life satisfaction, and is such a difficult topic for many people to discuss.
Relationships as well as sexual concerns such as hyper/hypo sexual desire or arousal, sexual interests or sexual orientation, Impulsive or compulsive sexual behavior, Erectile functioning concerns, lack of response to sexual stimulus, trouble reaching orgasm, sex after having baby, gender dysphoria, sex related pain and discomfort.
Adult women (18-64) – Particular interest in sex and relationship therapy. Within this area I enjoy focusing on women who have pain during intercourse, as well as with couples where there is a discrepancy in desire or sexual interest or one partner has found out about the other’s sexual paraphilia. I also have a lot of experience and enjoy working with individuals with gender dysphoria. I also would love to work with older women on helping them to maintain their sexuality (or to express it in new ways or (re)discover it).
Adult Men (18-54) — sexual concerns including paraphilias and hypersexuality/excessive pornography viewing. Gender dysphoria.
